Have You Written Your Letter Yet?

So, friends ... I have posted about a bazillion articles, blogs, posts, videos, etc. about the ASO in the past few days. I realized tonight that I have officially been part of the ASO Chorus for half of my life, and I've had the honor of adding my voice to the talents of the Chorus and these ATL Symphony Musicians since 1992. I'm kinda obsessed.
As an Atlanta native it feels like we take many things for granted--"we'll always have [insert institutions that are gone--Flames, Thrashers, Braves in town, Macy's downtown, Dante's]" and then the next thing you know they're gone or they're sold, or they've dwindled into mediocrity.
Please don't let this happen to our ASO. This failed management is trying to break them, while all they have done is represent the music and our city in the best ways possible. Musicians and Education folks with the ASO have given so much support and inspiration to our students and our community, and all they want to do is continue that work on a world-class level. These Musicians are good people. They are friendly. They are dorky. They are fun and brilliant and talented. And they are worthy.
So please help. Repost some of these articles, go picket with the Musicians, listen to some ASO recordings, write a letter. Write some more letters. These are our friends, our art makers, our inspiration.
Please bear with me, 'cause the posts aren't going to stop until our Musicians have a fair and satisfying contract. Stick with the ASO.
Did you write your letter yet?
