Catastrophic Failure of Leadership

For those who still believe that the Board of Directors of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra could be effective. This may persuade you otherwise. This memo addresses the board meeting that was scheduled for Monday, September 15. 2014. When the organization is in crisis, the board absolutely has to meet to solve the problem. I guess Ms. Lloyd does not subscribe to that philosophy or take her position very seriously.

Shame on you, ASO Board.

I wanted to let everyone know that we have decided to postpone next week’s regularly scheduled Board meeting. We will reschedule the meeting for a later date.

We’re postponing because we do not anticipate any updates on the Collective Bargaining Agreement process by Monday. If that does change, we will of course schedule a special telephone Board meeting to update you with any substantive news on the bargaining process.
